How It Works
The weft that sits, not sticks.
A butterfly weft is a hand-tied extension weft with a polyurethane (PU) base. Unlike tape-ins that adhere to hair, butterfly wefts use small silicone-lined micro rings to anchor to small sections of natural hair — no heat, no glue, no chemicals.
The PU base lies flat against the scalp, distributing weight evenly and sitting almost flush with the head. When installed correctly by a certified stylist, the row is nearly invisible — even in a bun or updo.
Why PU?
The base makes the difference.
Every ALIO AERA weft uses a medical-grade polyurethane base. PU is hypoallergenic, latex-free and designed for prolonged skin contact. It does not scratch, inflame or irritate — even for clients with sensitive scalps.

The Install
Bottom up. Smile curve. Almost invisible.
Installation follows a specific sequence — bottom row first, working upward. Each row curves to follow the occipital bone, creating a smile curve that distributes weight and keeps the weft hidden.
